DESIGN YOUR OWN GILBERT RUGBY BALL IN THE 2026 KIDS ROUND COMPETITION: TERMS & CONDITIONS
By entering the “Design your own Gilbert Rugby Ball in the 2026 Kids Round competition”, entrants are agreeing to the following terms and conditions:
1. The Promoter is GRAY-NICOLLS Sports Pty Ltd (GNS) (ABN 75 004 999 044) of 45 Wangara Road, Cheltenham VIC 3192, Australia. Phone: +61 (0)3 8541 9999. The registered office for GRAY-NICOLLS Sports Pty Ltd in Auckland is RSM House, Level 2, 62 Highbrook Drive, East Tamaki, Auckland. Gilbert Rugby is a brand owned by GRAY-NICOLLS Sports.
2. Prizes: The Entrant of the winning submission will win the prize of Gilbert manufacturing 50 rugby balls using the winning submitted design. Two (2) balls will be sent to the winner of the competition, valued at $89.98 (RRP, inclusive of GST). Each Super Rugby Club will receive three (3) balls.
3. Promotional Period: The promotion commences on 16/02/2026 and closes at midnight AEDT on 24/02/2026. Entries received after the closing dates shown above will be ineligible for entry. No responsibility will be taken for lost, late, or discarded entries.
4. Eligibility: Entry is only open to residents of Australia & New Zealand. Employees (and the immediate families of employees) of the Promoter and associated agencies are ineligible to enter. The Promoter reserves the right to verify the validity of entries and disqualify any ineligible/incomplete/incorrect entries. Entrants may submit more than one design entry, but only one prize will be awarded per person. Entrants under the age of 18 years must obtain permission from their parent or legal guardian to enter this competition and to these Terms and Conditions. The parent or guardian must agree to these Terms and Conditions on behalf of the entrant and may be required to provide evidence of such consent if requested by the Promoter. If the winner is under 18 years of age, the Promoter may award the prize to the winner’s parent or legal guardian.
5. Method of Entry: Entrants will have to; submit their contacts details in the form (above), as well as the design on the Gilbert Rugby Australia/New Zealand website. Entrants warrant that their submitted design, including all text and images, does not contain any content that: (a) is unlawful, defamatory, obscene, offensive, discriminatory, threatening, abusive or otherwise objectionable; (b) infringes the rights of any person or entity (including moral rights, copyright or other intellectual property rights); or (c) depicts any person without that person’s express consent. The Promoter may disqualify any entry that, in its reasonable opinion, contains prohibited content.
6. Method of Drawing Winners: GRAY-NICOLLS Sports will judge all entries and select the top five (5) finalists, before selecting the winner on 25/02/2026. The Entrant acknowledges and accepts that GRAY-NICOLLS Sports' decision will be final. Winners will be notified by phone/email using the contact details provided within two (2) business days of the draw. The winner’s name and design will be published on Gilbert Rugby's Instagram story (@GilbertRugby_AUSNZ) immediately after they have been notified on 25/02/2026.
7. If the Promoter, having used reasonable efforts, is unable to contact the winner within one (1) month of the prize being drawn then the prize to the second place holder, as judged by GRAY-NICOLLS Sports, will be notified by phone/email using the contact details on file and the redrawn winner’s name and design will be published on Gilbert Rugby's Instagram story (@GilbertRugby_AUSNZ and @gilbertnetballnz) immediately after they have been notified on 25/03/2026.
8. By submitting an entry, the entrant grants the Promoter a perpetual, irrevocable, worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to use, reproduce, publish, communicate, display, adapt and modify the submitted artwork and any associated entrant imagery or name for the purposes of promoting the competition, the Promoter’s products, and future promotions. The entrant agrees that neither they nor any third party will be entitled to any fee, royalty or other consideration for such use.
9. To the maximum extent permitted by law, all entrants release form, and indemnify GRAY-NICOLLS Sports Pty Ltd and its associated companies against any liability, cost, loss or expense arising out of accepting the prize or participation in the competition, including (but not limited to) loss of income and/or personal injury.
10. The prize is not transferable or exchangeable and cannot be taken as cash. The Promoter accepts no responsibility for any variation in the prize value.
11. The Promoter collects entrant’s personal information in order to conduct the promotion. If the information requested is not provided, the entrant may not participate in the promotion. Personal information will only be used in accordance with the Promoter’s privacy policy.
12. The Promoter’s decisions on all matters regarding the competition are final and no correspondence will be entered into. GRAY-NICOLLS Sports Pty Ltd reserves the right to extend, change or terminate this competition at any time. Any changes to this Promotion and/or Terms and Conditions relating to the promotion (including amendments, cancellation or suspension of the promotion), is subject to the requirements of all relevant State and Territory Lottery Departments.
13. New Zealand Consumer Rights: Nothing in these Terms and Conditions is intended to exclude, restrict or modify any rights or remedies available to New Zealand consumers under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993, the Fair Trading Act 1986, or any other applicable consumer protection laws, exept to the extent permitted by law.
